O US Pro ( US Pro Tennis Championships ) é um antigo torneio de tênis realizado nos Estados Unidos entre 1927 e 1999 .
O US Pro foi apresentado pela primeira vez pelo jogador profissional Vincent Richards quando o promotor Charles C. Pyle perdeu o interesse no projeto. Foi realizado nas quadras de Notlek localizadas na 119 Street e Riverside Drive, Brooklyn . As quatro edições seguintes foram disputadas no West Side Tennis Club em Forest Hills, no distrito de Queens . Os cinco seguintes em vários clubes em Chicago e Nova York .
De 1937 a 1941, um torneio foi realizado no Greenbrier Golf and Tennis Club , em White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia e chamado de US Open, por ser aberto a profissionais e amadores. Estes últimos foram rapidamente excluídos oficialmente de qualquer competição amadora organizada pela USLTA (United States Lawn Tennis Association). A primeira edição de 1937 também é considerada por algumas pessoas como o US Pro (mas não as edições subsequentes do US Open). A partir de 1938, o US Pro realizou-se em vários locais e, em particular em Chicago ou Los Angeles, depois, entre 1946 e 1949, regressou ao West Side Tennis Club em Forest Hills.
De 1950 a 1964, o promotor e ex-jogador profissional Jack March organizou um torneio anual pomposamente chamado de "The World Pro Championship" em vários locais em Cleveland : as edições de 1950 e 1952 a 1962 também foram consideradas o US Pro. Entre 1954 e 1962, foi disputado no interior da Cleveland Arena . Após a edição de 1963, novamente organizada em Forest Hills, o torneio foi instalado permanentemente no Longwood Cricket Club em Chestnut Hill ( Massachusetts ) nos subúrbios de Boston , de 1964 a 1999 (última edição) exceto em 1996 quando não foi tomar lugar.
De 1990 a 1995, o torneio foi realizado como uma exibição e não fez parte do calendário ATP .
