Neko Entertainment foi um estúdio francês de desenvolvimento de jogos baseado em Montreuil , criado em 2001 por Laurent LICHNEWSKY, Frederick Zimmer e Sotheara Khem. Encerra em 2017 .
Histórico
Laurent Lichnewsky o CEO é um ex-desenvolvedor da Silmarils , Ubisoft , Virtual Studio, Visiware, Psygnosis France e Kalisto Entertainment . Frédéric Zimmer, programador, foi diretor técnico de Watch Dogs na Ubisoft. Sotheara Khem formou-se na Gobelins em 1995, foi designer gráfico 2D / 3D na Kalisto e diretor artístico na Masa, mais tarde fundou a SOZO unltd .
Eles assinam seus primeiros contratos com Microïds , Coktel Vision e Ubisoft.
Em 2013, o estúdio, após um período difícil, entrou em liquidação por iniciativa própria.
Em 2014, eles publicaram com uma adaptação para videogame da segunda série de The Mysterious Cities of Gold chamada The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Worlds . O jogo é publicado por uma campanha Kickstarter que consegue chegar a 150% do valor inicialmente solicitado.
O estúdio apresenta o jogo Replay no festival lúdico Parthenay International emjulho de 2014.
No início de 2015, a empresa, que tinha um grande déficit, procurava um comprador.
O 29 de maio de 2015, a empresa é colocada em liquidação compulsória por resolução do plano de reorganização.
O 31 de julho de 2015, a empresa está sujeita a um plano de alienação.
O estúdio está cooperando com a Arte para a criação do game Californium , baseado na obra de Philip K. Dick , produzido pela Darjeeling e Nova Production , lançado em agosto de 2015.
O 23 de março de 2017 é declarado o fechamento por insuficiência de bens.
Dentro Maio de 2017, o estúdio anuncia que está fechando suas portas.
