Pat Kelly é um cantor da Jamaica para rocksteady e reggae nascido em Kingston em 1949 e morreu na mesma cidade16 de julho de 2019.
Biografia
Pat Kelly começou sua carreira com o grupo jamaicano de ska, rocksteady e reggae The Techniques, formado em 1964. Ele substituiu Slim Smith, que deixou o grupo em 1966. Muitas faixas foram lançadas, incluindo You Don't Care , Queen Majesty , I Wish It Would Rain , É você que eu amo e o amor não é uma aposta . A voz em falsete Kelly, fortemente influenciada pelo cantor americano Soul Sam Cooke em combinação com Winston Riley e Bruce Ruffin , permitiu que as "técnicas" recuperassem o sucesso com Smith.
Em 1968, Pat Kelly embarcou em uma carreira solo. Seu How Long Will It Take foi o single mais vendido da Jamaica em 1969.
